Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens - things to see and do in Batemans Bay

March 28, 2018

The award-winning Eurobodalla Regional Botanic gardens is a short 5 minutes south of Batemans Bay. With facilities, walking tracks and activities for all ages and abilities - it’s a must visit location on your next holiday to the South Coast. We are sharing a few of the enjoyable features of the gardens in this article.

A Few Features of the Gardens

Children’s walk

The Children’s walk is more like a native flora and fauna treasure hunt. Hidden animal sculptures make this short walk, a delight for the little ones. The educational plaques make this an adventure for the entire family.

Playground and BBQ area

A colourful and musical playground for all ages. Placed next to the BBQ facilities, the children’s playground and equipment, it is the perfect picnic area next to rolling green lawn for ball games.

Disability access and tracks for low mobility

Wheelchair access is possible with the sealed and well-maintained paths around the center of the gardens. Tracks with safe access are indicated on the map and gardens signage.

Gift and souvenirs shop

Featuring gifts and treats for young and old, the souvenirs range from the traditional tea towels and pens to locally made jars of preserves and sweets.

Plants for sale

Support the gardens with a purchase of an Australian Native plant or seedling. Talk to the knowledgeable staff about your native garden as well.

Bird watching hutch

Over looking the pond and native grasses, the bird watching hutch is a quiet corner of the gardens. Images that have been snapped by local and visiting birdwatchers are featured in the hutch.

Café

Enjoy a fresh scone, delicious seasonal soup or an open burger with fresh salad. The café is a perfect refreshment stop after a walk around the gardens. Delicious coffee and iced beverages to quench your thirst.

Open 10.00am to 4.00pm Wednesday to Sunday and everyday during the NSW School Holidays. Contact the café at their website or call on (02) 4471 2400
