A Sunday drive - any day of the week!
A popular weekend, holiday and family activity in Australia is to go for a 'Sunday Drive'. Some choosing to pack a picnic and explore the countryside at their own leisure, while others enjoy exploring cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs. The Far South Coast hosts some wonderful stretches of highway driving and this continues to improve as upgrades are made to the Princess Highway.

Exploring the Eurobodalla...
Argyle Terrace Motel is located in Batemans Bay in the Eurobodalla, on the Far South Coast NSW. A great location to base yourself, as you experience a coastal and country drive. From Argyle Terrace, you can visit the little beach and country towns of artists, cafes and shops all in one day!

Just 10 minutes south of Batemans Bay, a drive that sees you pass through the State Forest and Eurobodalla National Park, is a small town called Mogo. More like a village, Mogo is home to quirky and unique craftspeople, brick a brack stores and handmade artisans. A wonderful collection of shops, cafes, and galleries where you can view, purchase and enjoy art, pottery, crafts and home wares. Mogo is also home to popular tourist attractions such as Mogo Zoo and The Original Gold Rush Colony.

A further 15 minutes past Mogo is Moruya, where the landscape changes. A slight inland diversion that sees the beginning of a more country view, with livestock grazing on properties that call the green mountainous foothills home. This becomes the view as you catch glimpses of the ocean as you travel further South through Bodalla, Home of the Bodalla Dairy Shed.

Then past the popular fishing destination Tuross Head, towards picturesque Narooma. You will be greeted by the clear aqua blue scene of Wagonga inlet, oyster farm bays, and fishing boats. A magnificent site where many travelers stop to take in not only the view but the fresh clean ocean breeze off the water.

Another 20 minutes south will see you at the Central Tilba turn off. The historic town of Tilba is home to Tilba Valey Wines, the ABC Cheese factory, shops galleries, artists, and craftspeople. Tilba is a popular country wedding location, the pit stop for those traveling south or those enjoying a Sunday drive.
Tilba Cheese offers cheese tasting and has a wonderful shop where you can purchase ice cream, tea coffee, and souvenirs.
